As an African American, I often notice how much of the world's help passes right by our people in Africa. There are children there right now, unable to go to school, unable to get access to books, sleeping on mats on the floor, with no electricity, no medications or vaccinations. What about them? Who will help them?

Not only in Africa, but all over the world,in Chile, Colombia, India, Philippines, The Dominican Republic and other countries, there are children going to bed hungry at night. Without education, how will they ever escape poverty?

Because I believe in Children International's work, I am encouraging you to experience the impact sponsorship can have on your life and the life of a needy child. You'll be amazed at how much good you can do for only $22 a month. Some of the other organizations start at approx. $40 a month. But most of us can spare just $22 a month. That's less than $5 a week! A large latte from Starbucks once a week as a sacrifice.

When I started sponsoring Ruth, she was 8 and still not attending a school. She is now enrolled in school and tells me her favorite subject is grammar. I made that difference with my contributions. You can help too!
